Origin[]

Many monsters were born from Echidna and her mating with someone, usually Typhon. Who, himself was a great monster who challenged the gods and nearly won. However, at the brink of Zeus' destruction, his messenger, Hermes returned for him while all others evacuated and returned his Lightning Bolt to him. Zeus regained his strength, healed himself and destroyed Typhon, banishing him to Tartarus forever. Some gods believed he would rise again.
